With growing attention on the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and the International Criminal Court (ICC), this program will address the need to strengthen international law, particularly international human rights and humanitarian law.

Professor Roth, currently a Visiting Scholar at the Mitchell Institute for Global Peace, Security and Justice at Queen’s University Belfast, has dedicated much of his career to navigating the legal complexities of international conflicts and the challenges of enforcing international law, especially when powerful nations choose to ignore it. He will provide insights into how we can address these shortcomings to create a more just and peaceful world.
